Our water is acquired from Indiana American Water and distributed directly to residents. We do not treat the water, however, we take weekly water samples throughout Town to ensure water quality. Our Water Department oversees the delivery of water while meeting all of the Indiana Department of Environmental Managment (IDEM) rules, regulation, and testing.
The Water Department is responsible for 175 miles of underground water main pipe, underground water storm sewer pipe, underground sewer pipe, three water towers, three water pumping facilities, over 1800 fire hydrants, and over 14,000 water meters within the water district.
